Q STRINGS
We are Q strings, an experienced and versatile string group based in London who perform worldwide with various acclaimed artists. We do gigs, tours, studio recordings, arranging and transcribing.
Q Strings is centered around a classically trained string quartet who are passionate about bringing a great string sound to live gigs and recordings. Sisters Laura, Ellie and Amy Stanford formed the quartet with cellist Jess Cox whilst all studying at the Royal Academy Of Music in London. Since then they have spent many happy times on the road together and have vast experience performing at various concert halls, arenas and festivals all over the world including the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Stadium, Hollywood Bowl, The 02 Arena and the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
Playing on either their acoustic or electro-acoustic instruments, Q Strings are highly experienced in a band set up, using in-ear or wedge monitors. Their own wide collection of custom made electro-acoustic instruments from Bridge Violins offer the benefits of high volume with a high feedback resistance for performance.
